Office Policies

Office Hours
Physician office hours are by appointment only, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Scheduling An Appointment
Contact us to schedule an appointment with a physician. Please have your insurance card available when making your appointment. Many managed care insurance plans require a primary care physician referral prior to making a specialist appointment to ensure payment of full benefits. If your plan requires a referral, please have your referral number when scheduling your appointment.

We have a sign language interpreter on staff. Please notify the scheduler if you require this service during your visit to the clinic.

If you are unable to keep your appointment, our office requires that you call 24 hours prior to the appointment to cancel or a "no show" fee will be assessed on your account.

Telephone Calls
You may contact our office or e-mail your inquiry through our web site. For patients with TDD services, we can be reached through the Texas Relay Service.

Relay Service
For patients with TDD services, we can be reached through the Texas Relay Service. If you reach our voice mail system, please leave a detailed message so that we may respond to your request. Please speak clearly and leave your name, date of birth, and your account number.

Referrals
Please inform us at the time of your visit if you were referred by a physician. We would like to promptly send a report of our consultation to your doctor, if requested. If a referral authorization is needed from your Primary Care Provider (PCP), you must obtain this referral prior to your visit.

Emergencies
If you have an emergency before or after regular office hours, please call us at (817) 885-7878 to reach our answering service. Leave a voice mail message, mention the name of the physician you are calling, the nature of the emergency, and a phone number where you can be reached. Your doctor or the physician "on call" will contact you as soon as possible.

Prescriptions
For prescription refills, please have your pharmacist call your doctor's office during regular office hours. If you are out of refills, contact the doctor directly and have your name, date of birth, pharmacist's name, and phone number ready. Many prescriptions cannot be refilled over the phone or by physicians not familiar with your case. Therefore, please make sure you always have enough medication for nights, weekends and holidays.
